Our Methodology

We understand that the exact date of Ramadan is a matter of profound spiritual importance. To ensure our information is as accurate as possible, we employ a dual-layered methodology:

1. Astronomical Calculation (Pre-Ramadan)

Before the month begins, our dates and prayer times are based on the unified Islamic calendar calculations and astronomical data regarding the birth of the new moon (hilal). This allows our users to plan their schedules, request time off from work, and prepare spiritually.

2. Official Moon Sighting (During Ramadan)

As the 29th of Sha'ban approaches, we closely monitor official announcements from relevant religious authorities across the globe (such as the Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia, regional Fatwa councils, and national Islamic ministries). Once the moon is officially sighted—or not sighted—we update our platform to reflect the definitive local dates.
